Severnside Mill, Bewdley, DY12 1AY

Set within Severnside Mill, this is one of those homes that feels quietly special from the moment you step inside.

The setting is established and sought-after, but it’s the connection to the river that truly sets it apart.

Over three floors, the accommodation has been thoughtfully updated and carefully maintained, creating a home that feels fresh, welcoming and ready to enjoy.

The dining kitchen opens straight out to the terrace garden, while the first-floor living room and Juliet balcony provide the perfect place to pause and take in the ever-changing backdrop beyond the water.

Three double bedrooms, two beautifully finished shower rooms, and the added practicality of a utility space make this a house that works just as well day-to-day as it does for entertaining.

This is riverside living with warmth, character and a view you won’t forget. And once you’ve stood at that window yourself, you’ll understand why homes like this rarely stay available for long.

APPROACH   Tucked quietly within Severnside Mill, this is one of the rare homes that truly meets the river.

While many properties within the development share the setting, only a small handful enjoy private gardens and direct frontage along the River Severn. This is one of them.

From the front, the terrace is smart and established, served by communal parking. But step through the house and everything changes.

The rear opens towards the water, with an elevated outlook across to Bewdley's historic skyline, where timber-framed façades and glowing sunsets reflect on the surface of the river.

Swans drift past, winter mornings settle softly on the banks, and summer evenings invite you onto the terrace with a drink in hand. This isn't just a townhouse with a view.

It's a front-row seat to Bewdley's riverside life.

PORCH   3.5ft x 2.75ft The first step inside is a handy enclosed porch that acts as a proper buffer between outdoors and the main house.

Ideal for muddy boots, wet coats, deliveries, and all the other real-life bits brochures pretend don't exist.

A glazed inner door then opens into the main hallway, keeping the warmth in and the draughts out.

RECEPTION HALL   5.75ft x 12.17ft A welcoming central hallway with stairs rising to the upper floors and doors leading into the ground floor accommodation.

The glazed internal door at the far end draws light through from the rear of the house, offering a subtle glimpse of what lies beyond and gently pulling you towards the river-facing side.

UTILITY   7.5ft x 5.0ft A brilliantly practical space that keeps the everyday essentials tucked neatly out of sight.

Ideal for laundry, coats, extra storage, and all the bits that don't belong in the kitchen, it's a thoughtful addition that makes townhouse living feel that much easier.

From here, there is direct access through into the remaining garage/store.

DINING KITCHEN   14.08ft x 13.92ft Positioned at the rear of the house, the kitchen is where everyday life naturally gathers.

Recent improvements have given it a fresh, contemporary finish, with clean lines and a confident, well-kept feel.

Two rear-facing windows and a glazed door ensure the river setting is never far from sight, drawing light into the room and creating an easy connection to the garden beyond.

Fitted with shaker-style wall and base units, complementary work surfaces, an inset sink, integrated oven and hob, and a modern-style radiator, it balances practicality with comfort.

There's room here for proper dining, conversation and long, unhurried evenings - equally suited to midweek family meals or relaxed entertaining when friends drop by.

GARAGE   7.58ft x 7.83ft Now used primarily for storage, this section of the original garage is perfect for bikes, river gear, gardening tools, or simply the things you need close by but don't want cluttering the house.

STAIRS RISING TO THE FIRST FLOOR ACCOMMODATION AND LANDING   Stairs rise from the hallway to the first floor, where rooms lead off from the landing before the staircase continues upward to the second floor.

The house unfolds as you move through it, each level offering its own perspective and pace.

From here, the living room takes centre stage, positioned to the rear where the riverside setting and Bewdley's historic waterfront begin to come into view.

LOUNGE   13.17ft x 13.92ft This is the space that instantly draws you outward.

Two sets of French doors open onto a Juliet balcony, widening the outlook across the River Severn and towards the characterful buildings beyond.

It's easy to picture family evenings gathered here, doors open in warmer months, a drink in hand as the water moves steadily past.

A feature fireplace provides a natural focal point, complemented by decorative coving, a central ceiling light point and radiator.

Comfortable, inviting, and undeniably the place you'll gravitate towards at the end of the day.

SHOWER ROOM   4.83ft x 6.67ft Recently upgraded, this is a smart and contemporary shower room finished in a clean, modern style.

A curved glazed enclosure with rainfall-style shower sits alongside a vanity wash basin with storage and low-level WC, all complemented by sleek tiling and streamlined fittings.

Inset ceiling spot lights and a heated towel rail add to the polished feel, creating a space that looks fresh, current and ready to enjoy.

BEDROOM   14.0ft x 8.75ft A generous double bedroom that offers real flexibility within the home.

French doors with a Juliet-style railing bring in natural light, while decorative coving, a ceiling light point and radiator complete the space.

With the shower room just along the landing, it works beautifully as a guest suite.

Equally, it could become a dedicated home office, a creative studio, or a relaxed second sitting room for older children who want their own corner of the house.

It's the kind of room that adapts as life changes - practical now, adaptable later.

STAIRS RISING TO THE SECOND FLOOR ACCOMMODATION AND LANDING   The staircase rises once more to the top level, where the house feels gently set apart from the floors below.

There's a natural sense of progression as you arrive here - the final layer of the home unfolding above the river.

The landing itself is finished with a featured panelled wall, adding subtle character rather than leaving it as a blank in-between space.

A wall light point provides soft illumination, and there is access to the roof void from this level.

Doors lead off to the principal bedroom suite and the remaining double bedroom, setting the scene for what is, without question, the most memorable part of the house.

BEDROOM   Walk into this room and your eyes go straight past everything and out through the windows. Two rear-facing windows frame the River Severn like moving artwork.

The view changes almost hourly, from pale morning light to warm evening reflections across the water, with the town's historic skyline beyond.

Coving softens the ceiling line, a ceiling light point sits centrally above, and a radiator keeps the space comfortable year-round.

A door leads directly into the en suite, adding to the ease of the arrangement. But truthfully, it's the moment at the window that stays with you. The first glance in the morning.

The pause before sleep. The river still moving quietly on, long after the day has ended. It's where the day begins and ends with the Severn.

EN SUITE SHOWER ROOM   7.33ft x 6.58ft Finished in the same smart, modern style as the rest of the home, the en suite is crisp, well considered and neatly detailed.

A glazed shower enclosure sits alongside a vanity wash basin with storage and a concealed flush WC, all complemented by sleek tiling and streamlined fittings.

Inset ceiling spot lights provide a clean finish overhead, with the extractor cleverly concealed within the lighting.

A wall-mounted shaver socket and electric toothbrush charging point add those small everyday touches that show the space has been properly thought through.

Practical, polished, and exactly what you want in a private en suite. BEDROOM   11.67ft x 10.58ft Another comfortable double bedroom, offering a calm and versatile space.

A ceiling light point and radiator provide the practical essentials, while the proportions allow it to work beautifully in a number of ways.

It could be a welcoming guest bedroom, a dedicated work-from-home space, or something a little more indulgent - a dressing room or hobby room that turns the top floor into a private suite alongside the principal bedroom.

A room that gives you options, and a home that feels flexible around real life.

OUTSIDE   As you step outside, the paved terrace sits elevated from the riverside path below, giving you a clear, uninterrupted, postcard view across the water towards Bewdley's historic waterfront.

With space for a table, chairs and a barbecue - where morning coffee turns into slow brunch, and evenings stretch longer than planned as the sky softens and reflections settle on the river.

With room for pots and planters, you can shape the terrace to suit your own style. It's a space that changes with the seasons. Crisp winter mornings with mist rising from the water.

Spring light dancing across the surface. Long summer nights when you linger outside well past sunset, listening to the river quietly carry on.

The riverbank is accessed on foot via nearby pathways, and the title includes an additional strip of riverside land beyond the terrace, reached separately rather than directly from the garden.

Perfect for waterside walks, feeding the wildlife or simply spending time closer to the Severn.
