9, Consort Road, Peckham, SE15 2PH

Sophisticated Grade II listed detached Georgian villa. The classic, substantial home measures in at 2716 square feet, excluding cellar and loft spaces.

Enjoy four double bedrooms, three receptions, two bathrooms (one en-suite), kitchen with Miele appliances and copper worksurfaces, pantry, bootroom, huge cellar, off-street parking, and much more besides.

A sunny, professionally-landscaped and well-established formal rear garden of 70 feet completes the impressive package.

Walk just eight minutes east or west for two Fare Zone 2 stations: Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye.

A grand front door and generous windowed entrance hall offer those across the threshold a truly delightful welcome - with original Georgian staircase reaching up through the floors above.

To the front of the house is a large sitting/reception room of over 16 feet by over 12 feet, with high ceilings, original double-height sash windows (and shutters), a beautiful working fireplace, built-in book shelving, and original boards to the floor.

Further down the hall - with glorious garden views through another double set of original sash windows - is the formal drawing room of 18 feet by over 16 feet.

Elegant cornicing, high ceilings and another original fireplace (with marble mantlepiece) grace this space.

Down steps and through the bootroom, you’ll find a charming dining room (those garden vistas are available here, too) of over 13 feet by over 12 feet, with a flagstone and timber floor.

Its situation is next to the kitchen - which is a timeless Shaker-style affair fitted with Miele appliances (including built-in espresso unit), copper work surfaces and a generous walk-in pantry.

The part-glazed back door provides one access-point into the large garden. The ground floor also hosts a guest/downstairs w.c.

And access to the multi-roomed cellar (including a plumbed room for washing and drying machines), plus a second back door to the side of the house (handy for bikes, buggies, recycling and such).

Ascend the stairs and at half-landing level you’ve got the first of the four bedrooms. Set at the back of the house, it’s 14 feet by over 11 feet, with built-in closet and bookshelves.

Further up, on the main landing, find two further double bedrooms and the large family bathroom.

The natural master bedroom (over 16 feet by 12 feet) is set at the back of the house, with twin sash windows.

A stunning, windowed en-suite shower room laid with Carrara marble is also a most welcome feature. The third bedroom is over 14 feet by over 12 feet, and is set to the front of the house.

The final bedroom is found at the top of the last flight of stairs and across a bridge. This one is over 14 feet by over 11 feet.

All four bedrooms have their original fireplaces and pale carpets to their floors. You’re in a brilliant location for trains and buses. Both Peckham stations have Overground and regular rail services.

And local to qrp Station you have got some really nice spots for food and drink - which include Kudu restaurant, Peckham Cellars, Mamma Dough, Beer Rebellion, Blackbird Bakery and Well & Fed.

Other delicious local recommendations are Peckham Bazaar on Consort Road, Banh Banh and Mr Bao on Peckham Rye, and Artusi, The Begging Bowl, The Sourcing Table and Ganapati - all on Bellenden Road.

Local nursery and primary schools include John Donne, Edmund Waller, Nell Gwynn, The Belham and The Villa. Green spaces are many and varied in these parts.

We particularly rate Peckham Rye Park and Common and Nunhead’s beautiful Victorian cemetery.

Telegraph Hill lower park has a cute Saturday market, while the upper park is a popular spot for tennis and nye fireworks.

Nunhead high street is close for independent grocery shopping (greengrocer, fishmonger, butcher and baker are all here), or nip down to East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane.
