We've tightened what earns a Pursue. A home now needs a published valuation, a strategy that still makes money after real running costs and lender stress tests, and no listing problems that would stop a mortgage. You'll see fewer Pursues, and each one has been checked harder.

A characterful traditional two storey 1850’s cottage with Stonesfield slate roof found in the heart of this well connected and vibrant village.
A pebble path leads through the generous front garden to a period home benefitting from central heating and double-glazed windows.
The property comprises of an entrance hall leading onto an open plan living/dining room with wood burner and a window seat.
To the rear of the property, you have a galley kitchen with oak worktops, Belfast ceramic sink, a range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine.
The kitchen opens out to a large utility/boot room which leads to the enclosed rear garden. An internal hallway offers access to the a ground floor bathroom and stairs to first floor.
The first floor accommodation offers one double bedroom, a single bedroom and a large luxurious family bathroom with freestanding bathtub and underfloor heating.
A further staircase leads to a second double bedroom and W.C. The property sits on a generous plot, enclosed by stunning stone walls with large front and rear gardens.
There is a gate leading to communal parking and a lean to shed/store to the side of the home.
The rear garden offers a low maintenance artificial lawn with an apple tree from what used to be the original orchard. A large garden office/studio has light, power and its own W.C.
The garden also offers ample storage with sheds, seating and flagstone patio areas. Long Hanborough is situated 5 miles from Witney and 10 Miles from Oxford, with regular buses to both.
Hanborough railway station is located within a mile from the property, offering regular links to Oxford and London Paddington. There is good vehicle access to A40, leading to M40 and London.
The village offers a supermarket, gp Surgery with pharmacy, pub, restaurant, local taxi service, good primary school and recently installed 5G. There are also two Churches, a Methodist and a Cof E.

In the vendors words: I’ve had the pleasure of living in this charming 1850’s cottage over the past 16 years.
It’s centrally heated and the wood burner guarantees a toasty home in the winter, and a cool home in the summer through its original flagstones in the living room.
I originally purchased the property for the plot, which has a larger than average cottage front and rear garden.
The excellent privacy afforded by the trees and the fruit trees (plum, apple, crab apple and twisted hazelnut tree) have also provided a surplus of delicious seasonal fruit i’ve enjoyed sharing with my neighbours.
The large garden studio and shed have been an ideal space for work and hobbies. I have often considered using the ample space as an air B & B (water and electrics are already in).
There is also potential to expand to the side of the main cottage, but both these projects are for future owners to explore!
I would highly recommend the friendly community and amenities available, in particular having the bus stop in front of the cottage and the station 5 minutes away.
These have been incredibly useful for trips to Oxford, Witney and London.
I hope the next person to own End Cottage will be as happy as I have been and enjoy putting their own stamp on this beloved home.
