54, New Forest Drive, Hampshire, SO42 7QW

An architect-designed family home completely renovated and redesigned to one of the best standards we have seen to date, comprehensively transformed to an uncompromising specification and occupying a generous, mature plot in one of Brockenhurst's desirable residential roads.

There are homes that have been renovated, and then there are homes that have been reimagined from the ground up, this belongs firmly in the latter category.

Conceived in collaboration with dua Architecture and executed to a standard that would sit comfortably alongside the finest new-build projects in the region, this outstanding detached house represents a genuinely rare opportunity to obtain a property where every detail, from the mechanical systems to the interior finishes, has been considered, specified and delivered without compromise.

Arrival & First Impressions A sweeping Cerney gravel driveway to the front offers generous off-road parking, ‘Easee’ EV charging point and bespoke covered entrance canopy with oak pillar The front garden is finished with neat raised planters, a manicured lawn and established boundary planting.

The Entrance Hall Step through the solid-core front door and the quality of what has been achieved here is immediately apparent.

The entrance hall is a genuinely impressive space, wide, well-proportioned and flooded with natural light.

Lvt wood effect flooring flows continuously throughout the ground floor, creating an interior that feels both extraordinarily well made and instinctively welcoming.

There is ample space for coats and shoes within the cloaks cupboard.

At the centre of the hall stands a utterly unique feature; a bespoke, hand-crafted sweeping oak staircase with open, illuminated treads, a curved solid oak balustrade and integrated LED riser lighting that casts a warm amber glow across the floor.

The Kitchen, Dining & Living Extension The rear of the property is where the full architectural ambition of the project is most powerfully expressed.

A substantial architect-designed extension completed beneath a standing-seam zinc roof with three remote control rain sensor Velux roof lights and integrated LED strip lighting.

The current vendors have created a vast, luminous open-plan space that runs the full width of the house and opens seamlessly to the garden via floor to ceiling wide-format folding sliding doors and glazed sliding doors.

The kitchen itself is a statement of serious intent. Handleless matt slate-effect cabinetry runs the full length of the room, set against a full-height waterfall quartz splashback.

The centrepiece is a substantial kitchen island clad in waterfall quartz an impressive piece that provides extensive prep space, a Bora induction hob with integrated downdraft extractor, and a breakfast bar for four.

Integrated appliances include a bank of two XL Miele ovens one being a combi steam oven with hydro clean and a further Microwave and warming drawer set into a full-height tower, an integrated Samsung fridge-freezer, an integrated Miele dishwasher with auto dos power disc.

Fitted into the worktop is a blanco two bowl Silgranit sink with Quooker hot tap.

Pull-out internal larder drawers provide superbly organised storage, and the whole kitchen is lit by a combination of recessed LED ceiling strips and trio of smoked-glass pendant lights above the island as well as striking under unit lighting.

A voice activated light system is present throughout with a control panel in the pantry which can also be operated via an app.

Adjacent to the kitchen, a dedicated walk-in pantry provides excellent additional storage and houses appliances out of sight.

The adjoining utility room is fully fitted with matching cabinetry, space for washing machine and drier, a stainless-steel sink and two external doors to front and rear.

Practical buyers will appreciate the quality of what sits behind the scenes.

A neatly arranged plant room houses a Worcester Bosch boiler alongside a Gledhill pressurised hot water cylinder, alongside Dualflo water softener.

Beyond the kitchen, the open-plan dining and living area is nothing short of spectacular. The dining zone comfortably accommodates a ten-seat dining table beneath a trio of pendant lights.

The main living area, which commands the full garden elevation, is naturally split into two living spaces.

One living area boasts a freestanding wood-burning stove set against the deep forest green feature wall with electric underfloor heating.

There is also a further seating area within the snug and this features a second cast-iron wood-burning stove and offers an additional retreat that can be fully separated from the main living spaces when desired.

The ground floor also accommodates a flexible third bedroom, a sizeable double with its own outlook and direct access from the hall.

To service bedroom three is the ground floor shower room A separate shower room finished in marble-effect tiling with a black penny-tile walk-in shower enclosure, chrome Matki screen, ceiling rainfall head, floating vanity and black ladder radiator.

This paired with the ground floor bedroom gives excellent versality to sleep upstairs or downstairs.

The First Floor Throughout the first floor, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries ducted air conditioning system provides effortless climate control in every season, while the Heatmiser zoned underfloor heating system runs throughout the property this can be controlled via an app.

The staircase arrives at a first-floor landing with a large ceiling lantern with velux rain sensor above the galleried stairwell, natural light pours down through the space.

The sense of space and quality at this level is entirely consistent with everything below.

The bedroom itself is a large, beautifully proportioned double with a dedicated sitting area. A black freestanding slipper bath sits within the bedroom itself.

A door leads to the en suite shower room which continues the theme: Marble-effect wall tiling contrasts with black penny mosaic tile in the walk-in shower enclosure, behind a black steel-framed glass screen.

Matte black fittings throughout, a ceiling-mounted rainfall shower head, a floating vanity unit with rectangular basin, and a black ladder towel radiator combine.

The principal suite opens directly into a substantial dressing room (could be bedroom five) fully fitted with bespoke wardrobing comprising hanging sections at multiple levels, pull-out drawer units, a dedicated shoe wall and open shelving throughout, centred on a vanity station.
