Gloucester Avenue, London

Description Hidden behind gates on Gloucester Avenue, this remarkable lateral loft unfolds across 2,611 sq ft, with soaring vaulted ceilings, a private courtyard, roof terrace and exceptionally rare garage parking.

The heart of the home is a spectacular 43-ft kitchen, dining and reception room.

Voluminous pitched ceilings, exposed steel beams and a series of skylights lend the room its distinctive industrial character, while windows on multiple sides fill the space with natural light.

The kitchen is arranged around a large central island, with generous room for dining and several seating areas. A second reception room lies separately at the opposite end of the apartment.

A cosier space, it is currently used as a relaxed television room, however its proportions allow it to serve equally well as a study, playroom or occasional fourth bedroom. There are three bedrooms.

The principal bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom with twin basins, a bath and separate shower.

Two further double bedrooms share a family bathroom, while an internal courtyard brings additional light into the centre of the plan.

Outside, the courtyard leads via a spiral staircase to a secluded roof terrace measuring approximately 18 ft by 12 ft.

Mature planting and ample space for outdoor dining make this a particularly appealing extension of the living accommodation.

The property is approached through a private gated entrance and includes a large garage with a car turntable, an exceptional asset in this part of north London.

Gloucester Avenue runs through the heart of Primrose Hill, moments from the independent shops, cafés and restaurants of Regent’s Park Road.

The green spaces of Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park are both within easy walking distance, while nearby Chalk Farm underground station provides convenient connections across London.

The restaurants, music venues and markets of Camden are also close at hand.
