Warleigh Manor, Warleigh, Bath, Somerset, BA1 8EE

Nestled within the historic grandeur of Warleigh Manor, this elegant apartment presents a rare opportunity to acquire a home of exceptional heritage and character.

Built in 1815 for the Skrine family, the Georgian and neo-Gothic manor sits within the picturesque Limpley Stoke Valley, just a short distance from Bath, offering a unique blend of architectural significance and countryside setting.

Now Grade 2* listed, the building was thoughtfully converted in the late 1990s by Nash architects into a small collection of exclusive residences.

The result is a home that retains its period grandeur while offering comfortable modern living.

The owners remark, ‘It is unusual to find a property of this size with such characterful rooms, stunning views and light.’ The apartment is arranged along the 1st floor of the building and follows a well-proportioned layout.

An elegant sky-lit hall-corridor affords access to all parts of the residence, culminating in a particularly impressive sitting room, providing a striking focal point with its sense of scale and natural light creating a wonderfully inviting space.

En route, a well-appointed kitchen/breakfast room flows through to a dining room – ideal for both everyday living and entertaining.

A generous double bedroom with en suite, a second bedroom with an attached shower room, a further bedroom, or study, and the main bathroom are all easily accessed.

Throughout, the property has been carefully maintained and tastefully decorated, enhancing its inherent charm and elegance. Outside, the lifestyle offering is equally compelling.

The apartment benefits from a private one-acre garden, complete with greenhouse, summerhouse, raised beds and lawn – perfect for gardening enthusiasts or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

In addition, residents have access to approximately 15 acres of communal grounds, including woodland, open fields and riverbank walks, providing an exceptional sense of space and connection to nature.

The owners add, ‘It is secure and private, in a gorgeous building situated in wonderful countryside.’ Despite its tranquil setting, the property remains highly accessible, with Bath, Bradford-on-Avon and Bristol within easy reach, offering a wide range of cultural, dining and shopping opportunities.

‘The combination of seclusion and convenience makes this a truly special place to live.’ ‘It’s a very sociable community with 10 private residences.’ ‘The apartment is cool and airy in the summer and warm and cosy during winter, with large entertaining spaces.’ ‘The double aspect views up and down the length of the Limpley Stoke Valley are beautiful – from inside, both sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed through picture windows.
