London Road, Downham Market, PE38 9AT

Found on the outskirts of the town centre, this prominent and historic former Victorian schoolhouse home is positioned within an enviable and sizeable plot, providing a wonderful combination of accommodation and gardens.

Over the years, this property has served as a successful family home, and it is now available for the next generation of owner to enjoy and perhaps even enhance it further.

Downstairs, there are 2 formal reception rooms positioned to the front; both have central fireplaces, and one serves as a formal dining room whilst the other has patio doors leading out to the side.

There is also a separate snug and the kitchen (sited further to the rear) is generous enough to serve as a true hub of the home.

There is also the practicality of a utility and additional shower room, and consistent with its age, there is also a very usable cellar leading down from the main hall.

Upstairs, the landing provides a spectacular view over the gardens, and each of its 4 bedrooms are all of a double proportion. In particular, the largest bedroom measures 21ft in length.

Externally, the frontage provides a wonderful level of private parking, in addition to its garage, along with a small area of courtyard.

The rear of the building still displays the attractive facing of Carrstone (similar to the neighbouring property to which it is attached) and this looks directly over the mature gardens which provide a large, pleasurable landscape which is extremely rare for something so central.
