Trip Gate, Llanbrynmair, Powys, SY19 7DU

Trip Gate is a charming two-bedroom detached cottage, rich in character and positioned on the edge of the popular village of Llanbrynmair.

Set within a nice-sized plot, the property enjoys a peaceful setting with attractive gardens, a workshop and countryside touches throughout.

The home has benefited from recent improvements, including a new boiler and heating system, while retaining a cosy cottage feel with original features at every turn.

The living room is full of warmth and character, with a front-facing window and a striking stone fireplace housing an inset wood-burning stove on a slate hearth.

Flagstone flooring and exposed beams enhance the traditional feel, while the entrance door opens directly into this welcoming space, which in turn leads through to the dining room.

The dining room continues the period charm, featuring a cast iron fireplace, exposed beams, exposed floorboards and a front-aspect window.

From here, a door leads to an additional room offering excellent flexibility, ideal as a potential third bedroom or a home study.

To the rear of the property, the country-style kitchen is fitted with a range of base and wall units, tiled splashbacks and a recess for an electric oven.

Flagstone flooring continues here, and the staircase rises to the first floor.

A rear lobby leads through to the conservatory, which is glazed to three aspects and overlooks the rear garden, providing a lovely space to relax and enjoy the outlook, with direct access outside.

Also on the ground floor is a generously sized shower room, fitted with a walk-in shower, WC and washbasin, with part-tiled walls. On the first floor, the property offers two double bedrooms.

Bedroom one is a spacious double with a front-aspect window and a feature cast iron fireplace, while bedroom two is another comfortable double room with built-in storage.

Externally, the property benefits from an enclosed frontage with gated access to a driveway providing parking for two vehicles. To the rear boundary sits a useful workshop.

The rear garden is laid with decorative stone and includes a greenhouse and additional store shed.

The garden then extends to the side of the cottage and down to the adjoining stream, with mature trees and raised beds creating a lovely natural setting.

The new boiler and oil tank are located to the side of the dwelling. An adjoining parcel of land to the left of the driveway has been used by the current vendors, although it is owned by the railway.
